How can younger Christians connect with older Christians in the church?

Sit beside them and ask them, “What’s your story?” You’ll be astonished.

There is a lady in the church we belong to who grew up as a prisoner of war. My daughter and her family recently had lunch with her, as well as some younger women, and they made a point of saying, “Tell us your story.” If you’re a younger person, you might think, “This lady is older than I am,” so you might just pass her and not think twice.

She is an absolutely delightful lady. Her husband at one time was the leader of one of the political parties in Scotland. If you’re a youngster, you don’t know anything about that. But if you sit down and say, “Tell me your story,” it’s going to blow your mind.
